3.2 Faculty of Nursing - Registration

Students should refer to B. Registration of the Academic Regulations section of this Calendar for registration procedures.

Accuracy of Registration

All students are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of their registration and for arranging their course selections to meet all program requirements as detailed in this Calendar.

Interruption of Program Leading to a Degree

Refer to B.12 in Academic Regulations.

Students who interrupt their degree program in the Faculty of Nursing for 12 months or less will not be required to re-apply for admission but will need to comply with regulations from the year they return and must notify the Faculty of Nursing in advance of their intent to return.

Students who stop-out for more than 12 months, or students who are required to withdraw for academic reasons must re-apply for  admission and meet all current admission requirements including the competitive grade point average.

Students whose program is interrupted due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, injury, etc.) and cannot  complete the term, may be required to complete all coursework at the next available offering. Each situation will be reviewed on an individual basis by the Associate Dean Undergraduate Programs (or delegate).

Prerequisites

Students must obtain a minimum grade of “C-“ in theory or “CR” in practice courses to be eligible for the subsequent course. For more information refer to 3.4 Student Standing.

Withdrawal From Courses

Students wishing to withdraw from courses or from the University should refer to B.14 in the Academic Regulations section of this Calendar. Students will not be permitted to withdraw from nursing practice courses to avoid a failing grade.

Repetition of Courses

Refer to B.5 in Academic Regulations.
